The Haslingfield Greenway is one of twelve proposed Greenways, which aim to make local walking, cycling and, where appropriate, horse riding journeys easier – connecting villages along the route to each other and Cambridge.

The feedback received from our previous consultation has informed the route alignment and shaped the proposals being presented in our accompanying brochure. We have provided this survey for you to give your views on our design proposals.

We are consulting on a new road classification for Cambridge that would change the categorisation of roads in the city, and we want to hear your views to help shape it.A new road classification for the city gives us an opportunity to make a major change to the way that traffic and people use roads and streets to move around the city. Space on the roads could be freed up for more frequent and reliable public transport. It could also create a safer and more attractive environment for people walking, cycling or using other methods of active travel.There are six proposed classifications of road. Different means of transport, whether motorised or active, would have different degrees of access to these. GCP Comberton Greenway Engagement - 2022

<p>Cambridgeshire County Council is considering a range of changes to roads across Cambridgeshire to encourage walking and cycling across the area. We invite your feedback on these initial ideas to promote active travel (cycling and walking) as people&#39;s first choice for shorter journeys.</p><p>Later in the year, the new Soham rail station will open for use. As this is likely to influence travel across the town this consultation will run through to 17 January, so any concerns about additional traffic or road usage can be fed back as part of this consultation.</p><p>Following this consultation, the public feedback will be analysed and reviewed by County Councillors from the Highways and Transport Committee. A decision will then be made on which schemes will be taken forward for further development.</p><p>Any projects which go ahead will be subject to further stakeholder engagement and public consultation either prior to installation as part of a Traffic Regulation Order or during any trial scheme, if implemented under an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order.</p><p>If you have any questions about the project please email <a data-fr-linked="true" href="mailto:transport.delivery@cambridgeshire.gov.uk">transport.delivery@cambridgeshire.gov.uk</a>. Soham Active Travel

<p>This document is a revision of the previous <a href="https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/business/planning-and-development/flood-and-water/flood-risk-management" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cambridgeshire Flood Risk Management Strategy (2015-20)</a>. Created by Cambridgeshire County Council as Lead Local Flood Authority in consultation with its partner organisations, it outlines how flood risk will be managed across Cambridgeshire between 2021 and 2027. </p><p>The strategy sets out; </p><ul><li>Background </li><li>Local and National context </li><li>Roles and Responsibilities </li><li>An overview of risk </li><li>Funding opportunities </li><li>Management activities and Actions prioritised to manage identified risks</li></ul><p>The revised strategy has built in learning from recent flood events and industry developments since 2015. It looks to provide an overview of the wide range of flood related information, signposting areas you may wish to understand in more depth rather than duplicating other sources. </p><p>This strategy has been produced to be consistent with other local strategies, regional Flood Risk Management Plans (FRMP) and River Basin Management Plans (RBMP) as well as needing to provide sufficient consideration of the National Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Strategy. Consultations on the proposed <a href="https://consult.environment-agency.gov.uk/fcrm/flood-risk-management-plans-information-page/consult_view/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">FRMP</a> and <a href="https://consult.environment-agency.gov.uk/environment-and-business/draft-river-basin-management-plans/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">RBMP</a> remain open online and feedback can be provided separately to the Environment Agency for those plans. </p><p>Separate to the Cambridgeshire Flood Risk Management Strategy, work is under way to provide guidance and support for riparian responsibilities, this will be available on the county council website in 2022. </p><p>We would welcome feedback on the strategy. Cambridgeshire Flood Risk Management Strategy

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback and contributions.</strong></h2><hr><p><br></p><h2><strong>Introduction </strong></h2><p>The Greater Cambridge Partnership and Cambridge City Council are working together to review cycle parking at the Queen Anne Terrace Car Park on Gonville Place, Cambridge. A summary report of the results can be found here: <a href="https://consultcambs.uk.engagementhq.com/29995/widgets/86126/documents/62792">https://consultcambs.uk.engagementhq.com/29995/widgets/86126/documents/62792</a></p><p>Cambridgeshire County Council are applying to the Secretary of State via the Department for Transport (DfT) for civil powers to enforce bus lane regulations under Part 6 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA) across the district of South Cambridgeshire. This follows and complements, the County Council&rsquo;s application for Civil Parking Enforcement (CPE) powers which was submitted to the Secretary of State in Spring 2023.</p><p>If the powers were received, the County Council would be able to introduce measures to enforce bus lane restrictions across South Cambridgeshire using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology to identify drivers that breach restrictions. Similar to those measures introduced in Cambridge City a number of years ago.</p><p>By preventing inconsiderate and obstructive parking, access for all who use the highway is improved, bus journey reliability enhanced, active travel encouraged and the Council&rsquo;s overarching environmental objective to reduce congestion and improve air quality strengthened.</p><p>If the County Council&rsquo;s application to the DfT is successful, it is expected that enforcement will commence in winter 2024.</p><p>Currently the above restrictions can only be enforced by the Police with fixed penalty notices resulting in fines and/or endorsement points.
