The March Area Transport Study is a feasibility study to identify potential travel improvements around March. It will look at addressing existing travel problems and develop options to allow for future growth in the area.
The Fenland Local Plan, adopted in May 2014 identified future housing and employment growth for the area alongside an expected increase in travel.
The aim of the study is to look at whether what was identified in the March Market Town Transport Strategy (2013) is still relevant or whether additional improvements could help travel in the area. It will look at a range of possible improvements and options for those which will then be taken out to public consultation towards the end of the year.
Have Your Say
As part of the study we want to hear your views on travel in the area. This is your chance to tell us where you think there are issues and any ideas on how you think – or would like to see them improved.
Our interactive map below shows the locations we are considering, with further information available if you click or tap on the green icon. You can tell us your views on these locations by adding a comment nearby or add a new suggestion with a description before Sunday 11th August 2019.
Please note that it is necessary to set up an account to provide comments and they can only be entered in the red area on the interactive map. The map works best on a computer.

Next Steps
We will review all the feedback we receive and use it to develop improvements to travel in March.
Public Consultation on a preferred package of improvements will be undertaken towards the end of the year.
The interactive map shows the locations we are considering, indicated by green icons. If you click or tap a green icon, a short description of the location is displayed. What we are proposing at each location is undefined at this stage because that is what the study will determine.
Please feedback on the proposed locations by adding a comment by clicking + and dragging a blue icon next to a green one.
Alternatively, please indicate a new location by clicking + and dragging a blue icon onto the map and adding a description of the problem.
Note the map will open in a new window or fill your screen. Please click or tap i for instructions on how to enter your comments when this happens.
