Residents' Parking Scheme Policy Review
We would like to hear your views on the proposed update to the Resident Parking Scheme (RPS) Policy.
The County Council’s Parking Policy team is in the process of reviewing the Resident Parking Scheme (RPS) Policy. A document that provides a framework for the introduction, amending and extension of formalised RPSs and which sets out the principles for the administration of those schemes.
The purpose of the RPS Policy review is to ensure that the County Council has a fair and transparent resident parking policy in place which supports residents, visitors, businesses and the rollout of Civil Parking Enforcement (CPE).
This review looks at the operational element, the day-to-day management and administration of permits and proposes a small number of changes. Some of those changes simply offer more clarity on existing policy and practices and may have little effect on the day-to-day resident’s experience, others may have a more significant operational impact.
