At its meeting on 19 February 2020 the GCP Executive Board agreed to support a draft delivery plan for the Whittlesford Station Transport Investment Strategy as a basis for further engagement with key stakeholders.
The GCP wants to create better and greener transport networks, connecting local people to homes, jobs, study and opportunity. As part of this, we have been working on a masterplan for the area around Whittlesford Parkway station.
The Whittlesford Transport Master Planning Exercise looked at future developments around Whittlesford Parkway station and any transport changes that might be needed to mitigate growth in the area. It also took account of the needs of residents, commuters, local businesses and stakeholders.
The Masterplan identified a short list of 33 measures that need to be put in place over the coming years to improve access to and from Whittlesford Parkway station for everyone.
